Mistakes, regrets, and bad decisions; they all know my name, birthday, and social at this point. I’m a liar, an addict, and an unreliable narrator. I’ve been drinking to mask the pain for so long that it’s barely scratching the surface anymore. When a ghost from my past comes back, I have a decision to make. Man up and becomes the person seven year old us needed, or sink into the waves that keep pulling me under. Is she here to haunt me or to pull me from the depths? Can I become the man I want to be? Or will I just be another who takes, breaks, and leaves? I know what I want to be, but do I have the power to break this vicious cycle I started at fourteen? Whatever I end up doing, one things for certain.
